Play Pinochle online — partnership melding & bidding, with video chat.

Pinochle is the deep end of the trick-taking pool. A 48-card deck with two of every card from 9 through Ace, four players in fixed partnerships, melds that score before the first trick is even played, and a bidding war for the right to name trump. Done right, a single hand can swing 200 points.

Family Time handles the math you don't want to. The meld panel auto-detects runs, marriages, pinochles, and aces-around so you never miss a score. The bidding ladder enforces minimum increments and bag rules. The game persists across pauses, so a 90-minute Pinochle session won't evaporate when somebody gets up to start dinner.

Three AI difficulty levels fill empty seats — and the medium and hard bots actually meld correctly, which is more than you can say for most online Pinochle rooms.

Pinochle FAQ

Does Family Time support double-deck Pinochle?

Family Time runs the standard 48-card double-deck partnership game (two of every 9, 10, J, Q, K, A in each suit). The 4-player partnership ruleset is built in; future updates may add 80-card "Double Deck" and 3-handed cutthroat.

How does the meld work?

After bidding, each team shows their melds — runs, marriages, pinochles, kings/queens/jacks/aces around — and Family Time totals them automatically so nobody misses a score. Then the bidding team picks trump and play begins.

How long does a Pinochle game take?

Most Family Time Pinochle games run 45–90 minutes to reach 500 points. The pause-and-reconnect feature means you can step away and come back without losing the score.
